Contact: Kathy Johnson FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tractor Supply Opening Store in Dunlap Chattanooga, Tenn. - A new retailer will be moving to Dunlap by the end of this year with plans to open by Thanksgiving. Tractor Supply Company, the nation’s largest farming supply store, announced that they would open a new location in the former Bi-Lo location on Highway 28 in Dunlap. "The Southeast Industrial Development Agency is happy to have participated on this project that will benefit Sequatchie County," said Kathy Johnson, Program Director for SEIDA. "Tractor Supply Company is a natural fit for the property, and we’re happy to welcome them to Southeast Tennessee." In addition to this new retailer opening up a store in the 17,000 square foot location, property owners are working on attracting additional retail businesses and a restaurant to the complex. Based out of Brentwood, Tenn., Tractor Supply Company was founded in 1938 and is now the largest retail farm and ranch retail chain in the country with more than 1,027 stores in 44 states. Tractor Supply Company employs more than 15,000 people and surpassed more than $3 billion in revenue each year. The Southeast Industrial Development Association facilitates the creation of jobs, capital investment, additional power load and helps with the identification of financing opportunities, infrastructure development, marketing and demographic research throughout the SEIDA service area. SEIDA serves counties in Southeast Tennessee, North Georgia and Cherokee and Clay Counties in North Carolina and is funded by the Tennessee Valley Authority and local power distributors to provide these valuable services at no cost.
